關注獨立音樂的朋友不知道會不會忽視加拿大的清新勢力，其實當更多的朋友把注意力放在歐洲清新小廠或者美國新銳公司的時候，像加拿大這樣有著豐富音樂資源的國家總是被遺忘。這次介紹的Star便是來自多倫多的樂隊最初是在紐約組建，後來回到加拿大才調整到現在的陣容。Star迄今已經發表過三張專輯，自第二張Heart開始與加拿大獨立公司Arts & Crafts合作。樂隊主唱Torquil Campbell除了樂隊的事業，還從事影視音樂的製作，曾參與《欲望城市》等劇的原聲音樂編配。
