惠特妮·休斯頓（Whitney Houston），1963年8月9日出生於美國新澤西州紐華克市，美國女歌手、演員、電影製作人、模特。

二十世紀八十年代早期，惠特妮擔任模特工作，出現在雜誌封面和廣告上。1983年，她被克萊夫·戴維斯發掘，並於1985年2月14日發行首張同名專輯，其在專輯榜奪得14周冠軍，並以2500萬張的銷量成為最暢銷的處女專輯。1987年發行第二張專輯《Whitney》，空降並蟬聯了11周告示牌專輯榜冠軍，專輯誕生了以《I Wanna Dance With Somebody(Who Loves Me)》為首的四張冠軍單曲。
