《Rock N Roll Jesus》由製作人Rob Cavallo（Prince、Green Day、L7）為Kid Rock量身打造，而藝術設計Rob Gold為本張專輯設計的簡約封面則是在向AC/DC的經典之作《Back In Black》致敬。專輯中的音樂說唱元素很少，取而代之的是南方搖滾、傳統硬搖滾和一些鄉村、布魯斯曲風的歌曲。
在《All Summer Long》中，Kid Rock“借用”了南方搖滾前輩Lynyrd Skynyrd的名曲《Sweet Home Alabama》的吉他Riff。
