陳自明，男，博士，1972年8月生，雲南省曲靖市人, 國家自然科學基金獲得者。現任生態與環境學院副教授，碩士生導師。擔任雲南省水產學會副理事長。

1992.9－1996.7: 雲南大學生物系動物學專業學習，獲理學學士學位
1996.9－1999.8: 中國科學院水生生物研究所學習，水生生物學專業，獲理學碩士學位
2000.9－2004.10：中國科學院昆明動物研究所，動物學專業，獲動物學專業博士學位。

2013-2016：國家基金委面上項目: 瀾滄江梯級電站建設水域魚類多樣性變化研究，項目負責人，經費60萬元
2019年-2022年：企業委託（橫向）項目：小中甸水利樞紐工程中甸葉須魚、短須裂腹魚的人工繁殖項目，項目負責人，經費273萬元

研究方向
主要從事魚類分類、魚類生物學、生態學方面的研究。先後承擔完成了國家自然科學基金面上項目、企業委託橫向項目等30餘項；在國內外核心刊物上發表學術論文40餘篇，其中SCI刊物上發表12篇;出版專著2部。
