譯者介紹
張炳星，1915年生於湖南省邵陽縣。1940年畢業於國立清華大學外國語文系。曾在緬甸任中國銀行運輸處秘書，在印度任美國訓練中心少校譯員及英國經濟作戰部譯員，在湖南省邵陽縣任聯合國善後救濟總署鄉村工業示範處處長助理。1950年獲美國內布拉斯加大學農業經濟系碩士學位。新中國成立後在山西省歷任農業廳工程師，農科院科技情報研究所研究員、學術顧問，山西省農業經濟學會副理事長。退休後被中共山西省委及山西省政府授予離退休幹部先進個人。多年來從事農業科技及農業經濟的研究和翻譯工作，發表大量論文、譯著（包括詩詞名著），為大型工縣書《英漢辭海》的主要編譯及審核人員、《中國農業百科全書》編撰人之一。

The Sorrow of Separation by Qu Yuan(340-278BC)
Ⅰ.（1）The poet describes his family background, birthday, name, and his self-cultivation of morals and abilities in order to assist the Emperor of the Chu state to carry out political reform and make his country rich and strong.
帝高陽之苗裔兮，
I am the descendant of the ancient emperor
朕皇考曰伯庸。
Gao-yang. My deceased father is called Baiyong.I
攝提貞於孟陬兮，
was born in January,340B.C..Having carefully
惟庚寅吾以降。
considered my birthday, my father gave me a fine
皇覽揆余初度兮，
name called Zhengze and a literary name of Linjun.
肇錫余以嘉名：
Nature has has endowed me many good qualities.
名余曰正則兮，
I have also diligently cultivated my moral
字余曰靈均。
