李宏斌，史帶經濟學講席教授(C.V. Starr Chair Professor of Economics)，清華大學中國經濟社會數據中心常務副主任。1993年獲中國農業大學經濟學學士學位，2001年獲美國史丹福大學經濟學博士學位。2007年加入清華經管學院以前任香港中文大學經濟系教授。

2009年被評為教育部長江學者特聘教授，2010年獲國家傑出青年基金。2005年4月榮獲由世界發展經濟學研究會舉辦的“關於中國收入分配和扶貧”國際徵文比賽一等獎。曾獲得史丹福大學Koret 獎學金（1995至1998年）及史丹福大學Provost 獎學金（1996年夏）。
主要教授課程 “高級微觀計量經濟學”, “發展經濟學”, “優秀學術人才培養計畫”，及“新生研討課”。
在JPE, EJ, ReStat, JoLE, JPubE, JDE, JHR等頂尖學術期刊上發表過大量論文。主持了多個由中國國家自然科學基金，香港研究資助局等多家基金資助的科研項目。
是《比較經濟學》和《中國經濟評論》的編委，《中國農業經濟評論》編輯顧問委員會成員，德國IZA的研究員，北京大學莫里斯經濟研究所的資深研究員。並於2006年至2007年間任香港中文大學經濟金融中心副主任。
