1996年畢業於內蒙古大學生命科學學院生態學專業，獲學士學位，
1999年在內蒙古大學生命科學學院生態學專業獲碩士學位，
2002年在中國科學院植物研究所植被與數量生態學實驗室獲博士學位，
2004年在中國科學院地理科學與資源研究所生態網路綜合研究中心做博士後研究工作。
2004年9月在中國科學院地理科學與資源研究所生態系統網路觀測與模擬重點實驗室做科研工作，
2009年2月至今，在加拿大大不列顛哥倫比亞大學森林科學中心做訪問教授。
研究領域
從事種間關係在生態過程中的調控機制研究，地上與地下生態系統作用與反饋研究。
正在主持國家自然科學基金青年項目：青藏高原高寒草甸生態系統植物與土壤微生物相互作用機制研究。作為項目組主要成員參與國家重點項目973：全球變化對青藏高原環境變化的影響及其適應對策第四子課題的研究工作。
研究成果
闡明高寒矮嵩草草甸種間關係存在負（競爭）與正（協助型）相互作用。植物種間關係影響植物與土壤微生物對不同形態氮素利用的競爭強度。高寒矮嵩草草甸土壤有機質分解主要受低溫和易分解性碳匱乏的控制。升溫和外加碳對土壤碳、氮礦化影響顯著，而外加氮對碳、氮礦化影響不明顯。在國內、外刊物、會議上發表學術論文30餘篇, 其中SCI收錄第一作者7篇。
