劉長寧，男，研究員，現任中國科學院西雙版納熱帶植物園研究員、博士生導師。1996年至2000年就讀於武漢大學生物學國家人才基地班，2002年至2007年在中國科學院計算技術研究所獲生物信息學博士學位，2006年至2007年赴哈佛大學Dana-Farber癌症研究所訪問學習。2007年至2010年任中國科學院計算技術研究所助理研究員，2010年至2014年任副研究員，2014年調任現職。
研究方向聚焦生物信息學，涵蓋計算RNA組學、非編碼基因及藥用植物功能基因組研究。主持國家自然科學基金等7項科研項目，包括“腫瘤相關長非編碼RNA最佳化篩選”和“滇重樓功能基因組研究”。開發CRISPRlnc等生物信息學工具，構建JCDB、EupDB專業資料庫，在《Nucleic Acids Research》《THE PLANT CELL》等期刊發表SCI論文60餘篇，獲專利3項。曾獲中國科學院盧嘉錫青年人才獎、院長優秀獎學金。現任中國生物信息學學會理事、《Frontiers in Genetics》編委。
