利用與發展了科學計量方法與指標評價了特定專業領域的研究熱點與趨勢，並就中國的高引研究表現、獨立研究能力，中國頂尖高校的研究特性展開了深入的研究，在Journal of Informetrics、Scientometrics與Research Evaluation等國際期刊上發表SCI/SSCI論文30餘篇，其中第一作者文章10餘篇，目前在Web of Science中被引用次數超過500次，h-index為15。
