在對磚雕作品進行文化解讀時，《亳州花戲樓磚雕藝術文化解讀》的作者唐利平參閱了大量有關晉商歷史和磚雕藝術的文獻資料，並對現存的山陝會館，如南陽社旗會館、山東聊城山陝會館、蘇州全晉會館等進行了實地調研，以便對與亳州花戲樓磚雕進行深入研究。作者試圖在忠實於磚雕作品、尊重創作者的基礎上，儘量深挖作品的文化內涵。漢語文本注重渲染磚雕特有的藝術魅力，正所謂“美景之美，三分在景，七分在品”。“翻譯的衍生性和調節作用意味著跨文化翻譯是闡釋的具體化，而不是文化形式的直接轉換。”在翻譯過程中，我們認為保留源語生態文化與增加譯文的可讀性同等重要。對磚雕作品的名稱和成語典故，作者進行文化“深描”和“深譯”處理，即詳細的文化闡釋和注釋，以便增加譯文的可讀性和趣味性。
