內容簡介
《中國文化閱讀》是一本用英語介紹中國的大學通識課教材。本教材力圖從多角度反映具有中國特色的社會與文化現象，課文的選材涉及節日習俗、飲食、旅遊、歷史人物、神話故事、中醫、武術、音樂、藝術、語言、社會、政治、經濟、科技、教育、道德意識、大學生活、新聞媒體、社會問題等。這些文章用地道的英語介紹了中國的社會和文化，展現了當代中國風貌，為學習者提供了通過英語了解和介紹當代中國的生動素材。
《中國文化閱讀》採用主題教學模式，每個單元含兩篇文章，一篇作為課文，一篇作為補充閱讀材料。兩篇文章均有較詳細的注釋，注釋以介紹文章中的中國文化元素為主。練習有閱讀理解、辭彙、英漢互譯等，並設有特色鮮明的、生動活潑的課堂活動。
