創作背景
歌詞的靈感來自於樂隊成員從阿伯丁經格拉斯哥前往倫敦路上的所見所感。英倫三島多以環島替代十字路口，所以他們得以在路上遇見許多環島（roundabout）。一路上雲層籠罩的山巒如同直指天空，形成了“山峰從天空降臨”[Mountains come out of the sky, and they stand there]的靈感，“繞過湖岸”[In and around the lake]的靈感來自於格拉斯哥沿途的一個湖。
經過24小時的長途乘車旅行，樂隊抵達倫敦，主場Jon Anderson得以與妻子團聚，這是“經過二十四小時我就要與你相見”[Twenty four before my love you'll see I be there with you]的靈感。
