其用法是:another泛指三個或三個以上的人或物中沒有確定的另一個,another+數字+名詞= 數字+more+名詞the other則指已知的兩個人或兩事物中的另一個。others或other+名詞,泛指"別的人或別的物"the others指"一定範圍內的其餘的人或物"。
