自從2003年50 Cent成為新世紀的最大暴發戶之後，他的任何言行都成為了媒體推波助瀾的素材，而50 Cent也深諳此道，口無遮攔，一幅唯我獨尊的態勢挖苦各路說唱豪傑，此次專輯發行之前更是故伎重施，橫掃諸路說唱好手，專輯“大屠殺”發行之前就先用口水來了一把屠殺，很顯然效果明顯，50 Cent也是有理由那么吊，專輯雖然提前發行，但是四天時間就在美國唱片市場上演屠殺，114萬張，駭人的四天銷量，他不僅超越了自己，也超越了前輩。這是說唱音樂歷史上的第二高的首周銷量，超越了幾乎所有說唱音樂前輩，擺在他面前的是師傅Eminem的首周170萬張紀錄。
除了當年Eminem的爆發之外，很難想得出還有哪張說唱專輯是在如此高期待的情況下發行的，如此高期待的黑人專輯似乎就更少。在專輯發行之前，Eminem的幾乎所有套路都被50 Cent完整的承襲了，首先是向名人開炮，Em可以罵總統，罵拉登，50 Cent境界稍次，但是打擊面更寬，所有一線說唱同行幾乎每人都被問候了幾句；然後又是迫於盜版的壓力，被迫提前發放專輯，結果創下幾天時間銷量百萬的頭條新聞。至於那些被他罵的同行也是非常配合的予以還擊，挑頭的就是Jadakiss和Fat Joe，雖然是唱片公司的同僚，但Jadakiss也?里?唆的對50 Cent臭罵一通，老將Fat Joe境界就比較高了，簡潔的來了句“F*ck 50”，還編成了歌供人免費從網上下載。其餘諸如Nas等人則乏於招架，至於Ja Rule等傳統標靶50 Cent更是張口即來的小菜。罵紅了嘴的50 Cent也已經到了六親不認的程度了，他的手下The Game也捲入戰爭，50 Cent揚言把這這個西海岸來的問題人物踢出了G-Unit，當然，氣頭上的怒氣很快消失，兩人不久便言歸於好。
