The Third China-Japan joint Seminar on Numerical Mathematics was held in August 26- 30, Dalian, China. About 39 participants from China and Japan attended the meeting. Among them were 19 invited speakers, 9 from China and 10 from Japan. It is interested to mention that this time the Chinese side decided to send most young numerical analysts as invited speakers to the seminar that was received a warm response from the Japanese side.
