美國NBC電視網主辦的“鵝毛筆獎”（The Quills Awards）被譽為出版界奧斯卡獎。
鵝毛筆獎入選作品經6000多家書商與圖書館提名產生後，公布在網上讓讀者票選，因此號稱評選標準“絕對讀者導向”，選出的書皆名列暢銷榜，與一般文學獎有所區隔。
2006年度入圍名單包括：傳記類《Marley & Me》、梅岡城故事的作者傳記《Mockingbird: A Portrait of Harper Lee》。科幻類《The Stolen Child》。健康類《You》。其中部分書籍在台灣網上書店已有不錯銷量。《You》中文版名為《You──你的身體導覽手冊》，由天下文化出版。
