進入70年代事業漸走下坡，曾一度接不到任何角色，無奈轉行擔任戲劇教師，墊伏了十年之後，終於捲土重來。
1995年，馬丁·蘭道以64歲高齡，憑藉《艾德伍德》奪得了奧斯卡最佳男配角獎。再創演藝事業高峰。
婚姻生活
1957年，與Barbara Bain結婚，育有二女，1993年離婚。
