致力於液態金屬非平衡快速凝固及計算材料學研究，在液態金屬熱物理性質和結構、晶態到非晶態動力學轉變、原子間相互作用勢函式以及納米層片結構的力學性能等領域做出了出色的工作，在APL和PRB等國際期刊上發表學術論文近30篇，獲得教育部自然科學二等獎、陝西省科學技術三等獎和洪堡研究基金等多項獎勵。
研究方向：1. 材料模擬與計算；2. 複雜液體熱物性、結構及動力學研究；3.納米層片結構的力學性能。
