主要從事種群生態學和種群遺傳學的研究工作。作為參加人參與國家重點基礎研究發展規劃項目子項目2項、國家自然科學基金項目7項、教育部科技重點項目1項、教育部博士點學科基金項目1項；作為項目負責人主持完成中國博士後科學基金項目1項，現主持國家自然科學基金1項（項目名稱：大尺度氣候梯度下克氏針茅種群分化和生態適應研究；項目標號：30800132）和高等學校博士學科點專項科研基金（新教師基金）1項（項目名稱：內蒙古典型草原幾種常見植物功能性狀對水熱梯度漸變的適應性研究項目。發表科研論文19篇（含SCI論文5篇），其中以第一作者身份發表論文8篇。
