簡歷

1989年獲澳大利亞阿德雷德大學地球化學專業碩士學位;1992年獲澳大利亞國立大學地球化學專業博士學位。現任澳大利亞昆士蘭大學地學院終身教授,放射性成因同位素實驗室主任。長期從事同位素地球化學和年代學研究,研究興趣觸及岩石地球化學、前寒武紀殼幔演化,第四紀年代學(尤其在鈾系測年方面)、古氣候學、地質災害學,和科技考古學等領域;承擔科研項目30餘項;培養博士研究生和博士後30餘人;在國際SCI刊物上發表論文120多篇,被引用~2000次,h-指數為26。他和他所領導的團隊共有十多項研究成果被國際媒體廣泛報導。 1998年獲澳大利亞“伊莉莎白女王特聘研究員”職稱,2001年獲國家基金委“海外傑青”,2011年獲代表澳大利亞學術界最高榮譽的“尤里卡”傑出導師獎。過去10多年來趙建新教授致力於和國內同行開展跨學科領域的全方位合作,他所負責的昆士蘭大學放射性成因同位素實驗室和承擔的ARC等研究課題已為國內眾多合作者免費提供了價值數十萬澳元的分析測試數據和大約70萬澳元的項目研究員工資或訪問學者生活津貼,在國內至今尚沒有質譜鈾系測年實驗室的情況下,為國內數個重要學科領域提供了不可多得的技術支撐。

2011年:獲澳大利亞博物館“尤里卡”傑出導師獎(Eureka Prize for Outstanding Mentor of Young Researchers)。 澳大利亞博物館舉辦的一年一度的“尤里卡”大獎被譽為澳大利亞學術界的“奧斯卡”,“尤里卡”傑出導師獎類似於“奧斯卡”最佳導演獎。
