蒙特雷國際研究院

蒙特雷國際研究院（Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey）成立於1955年，是Middlebury College的研究生院。

辦學歷史

明德學院蒙特雷國際研究所（Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey，縮寫MIIS），前身是成立於1955年的蒙特雷外國語學院（Monterey Institute of Foreign Studies）。

1961年，學校遷至蒙特雷市中心。1979年，學校正式更名為蒙特雷國際研究學院（Monterey Institute of International Studies）。

2005年，蒙特雷國際研究學院正式與明德學院簽訂聯盟協定，並於2010年正式合併，成為明德學院的研究生院。2015年，學校正式更名為明德學院蒙特雷國際研究所。

辦學規模

MIIS下設兩個學院：國際政策與管理研究生院（Graduate School of International Policy and Management，縮寫GSIPM) ，翻譯、口譯、語言教育研究生學院（Graduate School of Translation, Interpretation, and Language Education, 縮寫GSTILE）。其中，GSIPM現開設國際政策與發展（International Policy and Development）、公共管理（Public Administration）、國際環境政策（International Environmental Policy）、核不擴散與恐怖主義研究（Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies）、國際貿易與金融外交（International Trade and Economic Diplomacy），和國際教育管理（International Education Management）六個碩士項目；GSTILE則設有翻譯（Translation）、翻譯與口譯（Translation and Interpretation）、會議同傳（Conference Interpretation）、翻譯和本地化管理（Translation and Localization Management）、教授非英語母語者英語（Teaching English to Students of Other Languages），和教授外語（Teaching Foreign Language）六個碩士項目。
