王傑，男，漢族，1956年6月出生於北京。中共黨員，理學博士，教授。
北京大學原黨委常委、副校長。協助校長負責審計和信息化建設工作；協助校長分管審計室，分管信息化建設與管理辦公室、計算中心和現代教育技術中心。

1976年參加工作
1982年7月北京大學數學系本科畢業，獲理學學士學位
1985年北京大學數學系研究生畢業，獲理學碩士學位，此後留校任教
1991年在北京大學獲理學博士學位
1994－1995年澳大利亞西澳大學高級訪問學者
1995年8月起任北京大學教授，1998年被遴選為博士生導師
1995－1998年任北京大學數學科學學院黨委書記、常務副院長
1998－2000年任北京大學黨委組織部長，其間，1999年1月當選北京大學黨委常委
2000-2013年任國家自然科學基金委員會第四、五、六屆副主任、黨組成員
2013年5月至2017年，任北京大學黨委常委、副校長
