1990年獲中國地質大學礦物學博士學位，側重礦物X射線衍射結晶學與礦物晶體化學研究。
- 1991年博士後期間，採用電子顯微鏡與電子衍射方法研究礦物微結構。
- 1992和1994獲奧地利南北對話獎學金，在維也納大學礦物學與結晶學研究所從事礦物單晶X射線結構測定研究。
- 1997年獲英國皇家學會獎學金，在英國自然歷史博物館從事電子探針分析和Rietveld方法的礦物粉晶X射線晶體結構研究。
- 2000年由國家自然科學基金資助，在維也納大學做短期合作研究，採用CCD系統測定礦物晶體結構。
- 2003年以來與日本科學博物館合作從事白雲鄂博礦物學研究。
現任中國礦物岩石地球化學學會新礦物及礦物命名委員會副主任委員、中國地質學會礦物學專業委員會副主任委員、中國稀土學報常務編委等。
研究方向
研究領域包括稀土鈮鉭礦物學，礦物晶體結構與晶體化學，新礦物鑑定，礦物模組結晶學，變生礦物學等。
人物成就
自1993以來，先後主持多項有關礦物晶體化學研究的國家自然科學基金面上項目。
主要研究成果包括黃河礦、氟碳鈰鋇礦、氟碳鋇鈰礦、顧家石和富鐵矽鈦鈰礦的晶體結構精測；稀土氟碳酸鹽礦物多體系列的模組晶體學分析；易解石族礦物、富釷鈰矽磷灰石、鈮鉭鐵礦族礦物和矽鈦鈰礦的晶體化學研究。曾任國際礦物學會礦物分類委員會委員。
現任中國礦物岩石地球化學學會新礦物及礦物命名委員會副主任委員、中國地質學會礦物學專業委員會副主任委員、中國稀土學報常務編委等。
