美國喬治亞醫學院分子醫學與遺傳學研究所所長，美國喬治亞州研究聯盟傑出神經科學家，2004年度受聘於該校教育部“長江學者”講座教授。他在突觸發育、精神分裂症分子機制等研究領域做出重要貢獻。以通訊作者在Neuron、Nature Neuroscience、PNAS等國際著名刊物發表文章70餘篇，獲多項NIHRO1基金資助，擔任Molecular Brain主編，Science、 Nature、 Nature Neurosci、 Neuron等雜誌審稿人。1989年畢業於美國亞力桑那大學醫學院藥理學系獲博士學位 ,在美國喬治亞醫學院分子醫學和遺傳學研究所神經病學系工作。擔任是職位有Member of National Institute of Child Health and Human Development；Member of the Society for Neuroscience’s Membership and Chapters Committees。梅林
