Animal Crackers in my soup

伊莉莎白·布萊爾（秀蘭鄧波兒飾）是湖邊收養所的搗蛋鬼，也是大家的開心果。在慈善者愛德華·摩根到來之際，伊莉莎白在飯桌上唱歌，模仿託管人言行，深受院長厭惡，但伊莉莎白的這些舉動卻引起了富人愛德華的注意，他意識到伊莉莎白是個可造之才。在交談中，伊莉莎白說到，她厭惡總是說“是的夫人”“不，先生”，愛德華給了她一個更親切的名字“捲毛頭”，她展現了異於常人的天賦，這使得愛德華動了收養這個小天使的心。伊莉莎白·瑪麗是捲毛頭的姐姐，她的鋼琴演奏深深吸引了愛德華，在被愛德華一同收養是遇見了傑米，但傑米不是瑪麗的真愛。在捲毛頭陰差陽錯的撮合下，瑪麗找到了自己的真愛——愛德華。
