小馴鹿尼科夢想著能和從未相見的馴鹿爸爸一樣成為會飛的聖誕馴鹿。儘管有很嚴重的眩暈，尼科還是每天偷偷溜出它所住的山谷，花大部分時間向罕見的芬蘭飛行松鼠家族成員Julius學習飛行課。一天，尼科偷偷跑出山谷練習飛行，卻把飢餓的狼群引向了馴鹿部落，部落不得不在嚴冬中遷徙。幾乎所有馴鹿都把尼科當成掃把星，尼科失落地離開了馴鹿群。飛鼠Julius追上了尼科，他們一起踏上了尼科的尋父之路。目的地：聖誕盆地！極地大冒險2是該系列的第二部。
