大衛·亞克比安（David H.Yakobian）在10歲的時候，父母是不允許他玩音樂的。但他對這牧童笛就非常的著迷，可以說他是自學成才的音樂演湊家。他一直生活和遊歷在世界各地，吸收了世界各地不同的文化逐步形成了他自己的演奏特色。
