Hao-en has a particular aptitude for playing the guitar -- a talent that he has honed to perfection. He also has a deep interest in the culture of his people, and spent years with the Formosa Aboriginal Song and Dance Troupe, learning the traditional melodies and movements of Taiwan's indigenous peoples. He also taught Puyuma songs to the children in his family in the hopes that all aboriginal children can learn to sing the songs of their people.
