樂團簡介
Erasure
1985年Erasure（滅跡樂團）成軍於英國倫敦，其中創作核心Vince Clarke可謂流行電子合成樂的傳奇人物，不僅在Depeche Mode早期創作中扮演重要角色，更陸續組成Yazoo 與Assembly這兩組讓人印象深刻的電子樂團。結束了與Feargal Sharkey共同合作的 Assembly，Vince Clarke原本打算找十位不同的歌手錄製一張完整專輯，透過英國音樂刊物Melody Maker上的徵求啟事，他從40多位躍躍欲試的歌手中找到了Andy Bell。曾經擔任眾多搖滾樂團主音的Andy Bell，與個性害羞且不善面對媒體Vince Clarke猶如兩個極端，卻也是極佳的互補。靠著流行悅耳的電子流行金曲，加上Andy Bell不可多得的動人嗓音，滅跡合唱團成立至今創造超過30首的Top 40排行榜金曲與一千四百萬張的唱片銷售佳績。成軍二十餘年，Erasure始終堅持流行舞曲路線，以電子合成樂綴飾動人長青的流行歌曲。2003年推出精選專輯，Erasure2005年發表他們的《Nightbird》，2006年透過專輯《Union Street》，以Acoustic的手法詮釋過去舊作。此張全新創作專輯《LightAt The End Of The World》，獲得眾多專業音樂媒體滿分評價，由傳奇製作人Gareth Jones出手監製，他們利用去年秋天六個星期的時間，完成專輯的錄製。由主唱Andy Bell負責的歌詞創作，堪稱他有史以來最貼近自我的表現，愛、失落、悲嘆、希望與重新出發的勇氣散落在專輯10首作品之中。〈Storm in a Teacup〉由他母親的酗酒問題所啟發；作為首波主打單曲的〈I Could Fall in Love with You〉，尋回樂隊早期歡樂的電音舞曲風格，成功空降英國單曲排行榜第21名，在美國Hot Dance Club Play榜上則取得第8名的佳績；專輯開場曲同也是第二波主打單曲〈Sunday Girl〉，則有如華麗繽紛的舞曲旋風。過去彷佛漸漸放慢速度，甚至玩起不插電翻唱的Erasure，終於帶領樂迷重返五光十色的舞池。
