創作背景
拉娜·德雷在接受採訪時表示，這首歌曲的創作靈感來源於一個曾經和她一起上班、一起玩電子遊戲的男孩子。她還說，自己把《Video Games》上傳在網上的原因，是因為自己非常喜歡這首歌，但並沒有讓它成為首單的想法。但是，當這首歌獲得了公眾們的積極反應後，拉娜·德雷的唱片公司才決定將這首歌曲做成單曲發行。
