這首歌充滿著憤怒，這首歌強調了唱片公司因其上一張專輯《The Slim Shady LP》獲得的極大成功而給Eminem帶來的極大的壓力，在這首歌被寫下的時候，Eminem還沒有一首可以與自己與1999年發行的成名作《My Name Is》相提並論的成功的作品。這首歌也抨擊了自己那些過分熱情從而給自己帶來負擔的歌迷，告誡他們應該遠離自己的家庭與私人生活。

歌曲中的歌詞“When a dude's gettin bullied and shoots up his school,and they blame it on Marilyn (on Marilyn).. and the heroin”是源於1999年4月20日的科倫拜校園事件，有傳聞稱兇手為瑪麗蓮曼森的冬粉，導致全民抨擊曼森，而Eminem作為曼森之友，講出了這件事。

歌曲MV

歌曲的MV開頭部分引用了Kim的前奏以及專輯裡的Steve Berman中的一段，且MV中並沒有歌曲里的“Whatever”一詞的出現。

當歌曲開始的時候，畫面顯示Eminem在一個高層建築的視窗準備跳下來，這個畫面靈感源自科恩兄弟的電影《金錢帝國》。當歌詞指向瑪麗蓮曼森的時候，曼森本人也有出鏡。MV中也有出現Eminem在一間木屋前說唱，在他與自己的妻兒遊玩時和自己在廁所的時候被冬粉索要簽名照的鏡頭。
