Europe樂隊1981年成立於瑞典.起初樂隊名字叫"Force"(力量).由核心成員Joey Tempest(主唱)、John Norum(吉他) 和John Leven(貝斯)組成.在一次瑞典全國業餘搖滾樂團大賽中獲得冠軍並得到一紙唱片契約.之後將樂隊名 更改為Europe並在瑞典發行了兩張專輯"Europe"和"Wings of Tomorrow".
