The Birthday Massacre是現在為數不多New wave風格的樂隊，在這New wave瀕臨滅種的時代能堅持自己的特點的確讓人欽佩。The Birthday Massacre成員都來自大英國協國家，成立於2000年，起初由女聲Chibi、吉他Rainbow和M. Falcore、貝斯Aslan、鍵盤Dank和打擊樂手也他們的靈魂O.E.組成，樂隊一開始起名Imagica。在發行了一張Demo後，2001年樂隊轉移到了加拿大，而Dank離隊。在2001年發行了他們第二張Demo後，樂隊才改成現在的名字The Birthday Massacre。終於在2002年發行了他們正式的專輯Nothing And Nowhere。此後成員不停更換(也可以看出要堅持和時代格格不入的理想不是所有人都能辦到的)，包括樂隊的靈魂O.E.的離開都對樂隊是沉重的打擊，樂隊也進行了小小的微調來適應這個現實社會，這些都是後話了。

The Birthday Massacre在2002年發行第一張專輯「Nothing and Nowhere」後，團員就一直處在變動狀態，要堅持共同的音樂理想看來對The Birthday Massacre頗具難度，好訊息是，在2003年離團的樂團靈魂O.E.(鼓手)，在07年回歸為Bass手。

比起上一張專輯，這張新作在曲調編制上顯然豐富許多，不管在電子的運用，樂器間的融合，主唱Chibi甜美的嗓音在音符延伸出的杳杳空間飄蕩，凝結成一種華麗詭譎的氛圍。冰涼的音節滴落在聽覺，擴散至神經， 隱藏在合成器後的bass和guitar蠢蠢欲動著。專輯封面帶出了The Birthday Massacre音樂的色調，煙霧漫漫的迷幻熏烙成神秘的紫色，無法抗拒好奇心的驅使，渴望著一探究竟的快感。（文字轉自網路）所出專輯
