。安慰劑效應，指病人雖然獲得無效的治療，但卻“預料”或“相信”治療有效，而讓病患症狀得到舒緩的現象。又名偽藥效應、假藥效應、代設劑效應（英文：Placebo Effect，源自拉丁文placebo解“我將安慰”）安慰劑效應於1955年由畢闕博士提出，亦理解為“非特定效應”（non-specific effects）或受試者期望效應。
安慰劑的效應，稱為“安慰劑效應”（placebo effect）。據文獻報導，由病人高度信賴的醫師治療，安慰劑對胃十二指腸潰瘍的短期療效最高可達約70﹪。對惡性腫瘤患者，安慰劑對緩解某些症狀會產生“安慰劑效應”，但對延緩生命無效。這樣的發現為現有的醫療方法帶來了一種新的可能：利用安慰劑效應來強化常規療法的效果。
