個人簡介

Leona Lewis出生於倫敦伊斯靈頓自治區的Highbury，父親Aural Josiah是加勒比黑人，蓋亞納的年輕工人；母親Maria Lewis帶有威爾斯血統，是一名社工。Leona五歲的時候，入讀Sylvia Young Theatre School，其後分別在Italia Conti Academy及BRIT School讀書。 Leona在十二歲時寫出她的第一首單曲，並且在很多才能比賽中獲勝。她離開學校後，做過很多的工作，包括女待應和接線員等，為的是付租用錄音室的錢。 Leona曾錄製過很多歌曲，其中包括屬於她自己的樣本唱片Twilight，但從未正式發行。當她十五歲時，聯同音樂監製Marley J.Wills翻唱了Minnie Riperton的“Lovin' You”。雖然她因此得到唱片公司的賞識，並被帶到美國，但日後的發展卻不盡如人意，音樂事業停滯不前，心灰意冷的她曾經打算放棄，如果不是她的男朋友Lou讓她去參加X Factor選秀比賽，也許我們將不會知道她，這樣的好聲音也許就從此埋沒了。
