影片沒有情節，而是從1970年到1985年間Jarman拍攝的共15小時的家庭錄像中選取了一些影像，反映了他患愛滋病之前的生活。其中並沒有什麼高深的理論，只有愛情和工作中的一些情感素材。也沒有音效或對話，只有Brian Eno的音樂。
