Gery Riba is a filmperformer/musician from Hungary. He was born in Budapest, Hungary the only son of the hungarian parents the literature/history teacher Mária Eniko Horváth and the ex-fencer Ferenc Riba. He has a sister Fruzsina Riba. The family moved to the countryside Pilisborosjeno, from Buda around his age 7. He started the primary school over there. After 8 years of playing tennis, he ended it up and in 2004 he steped on his father's way and getting started fencing. After his sport career, he formed his first band in 2007 with Kristof Kovacs called Above The Under (later changed their name to Karmageddon) a stoner/southern rock band with a handful of friends. Later he graduated on Pazmany Peter Catholic University on liberal arts and philosophy. From 2010 he is the singer/guitarplayer for the band Tamirel. He started to shoot in 2012 during his journey abroad in the U.S.A, Canada, Norway, England. When he moved back from Bristol to Hungary in 2015 he started to shoot a portrait film about the life of his father beside music videos for bands. Paralel started to work as a set pa in hungarian film industry.
