George Clinton是美國黑人歌手，作曲家，唱作人。主要風格是FUNK和Soul。早期是一位理髮師。（或許他日後在舞台上的個性髮型或許是由此而來吧。）極具舞台表現力。是著名樂隊“Red Hot Chili Peppers”中主唱Anthony Kiedis的老師。

George Clinton
1958年，簽約了HULL RECORD公司並發行了“Poor Willie”和"Party Boys"兩張專輯。
1959年簽約了Flipp Label並錄製了“Lonely Island”和“cry”。
1962-1963年，在Jobete Music和Motown當唱作人。
1963年與人合作建立了Geo-Si-Mik製作團隊。
1966年簽約了Revilot label並且發行單曲“I Wanna Testify”。
1968年組建團體Funkadelic。
1969年Funkadelic簽約Westbound並進行首次登台演出。
和Red Hot Chili peppers的淵源
可以說Red Hot chili peppers就是George Clinton發現並培養的。在紅辣椒的早期作品中，都是FUNK的元素。而且George就是紅辣椒主唱Anthony Kiedis的老師，教他如何唱歌。
在1985年德國Rockpalasst搖滾音樂節上，George就當作嘉賓參加過紅辣椒的表演。
在1993年，更是和紅辣椒以及其他FUNK歌手、組合一起在格萊美晚會上出現。
在2012年搖滾名人堂頒獎典禮上，紅辣椒主唱Anthony也對台下的George Clinton表示了感謝，GC也樂開了懷。兩個加起來年齡有120多歲的人的師徒場景令人動容。
