With the aid of the auricle to diagnose and treat diseases ，as well as to preserve and protect health has gone through a long history. Dating back to the ancient times，a long time prior to publication of The Yellorw Emperor's Internal Classic ,much experiences and many expositions had been accumulated by the ancient medical workers. Among a large number of medical works copied on silk unearthed in 1973 from the ancient Mawangdui tombs of the Western Han Dynasty in Hunan Province，our archaeologists on historical relics discovered The Moibustion Classic of Eleven Channels of the Limbs and T'he Moxibustion Classic of the Elevex Yin-Yang Channels.These are. up to now,the earliest monographs on Traditional Chinese Sphygmology and Traditional Chinese Moxibustion Therapy in China."Auricular Channels"were clearly recorded in The Moxibustion Classic of the Eleven Yin-Yang Channels , indicating expositions on auricular diagnosis and treatment were actually present as early as 2500 years ago. In 1957，Dr. Nogier P of France published his Atlas of Distribution of the Auricular Acupoints，which are located in the auricle just like an inverted embryo.Since then，his book has aroused in the nedical circles all over the world a great upsurge in clinical and experimental researches on auricular diagnostics and therapeutics，and also promoted the development of auricular medicine in our country.
