08年度《商業周刊》全球最佳品牌100強概況
2008年9月19日美國《商業周刊》雜誌與國際品牌集團(Interbrand)共同發布“2008全球最佳品牌排行榜”。可口可樂公司以666.67億美元的品牌價值連續八年居首，而中國企業的品牌價值並未得到調研機構的認可，無一上榜。
除了已經連續8年被評為最有價值品牌的可口可樂之外，IBM和微軟公司分列第二、三名。Interbrand表示，此次排名是按照品牌價值對公司營收貢獻進行排名。由於金融危機影響，福特汽車、花旗集團、摩根史坦利和美林的品牌價值下跌最快。其中美林的品牌價值下降至114億美元。
榜單顯示，共有100家企業上榜，最低進入門檻為33.38億美元，其中美國企業超過半數以上，日、德、法等國也有數家企業上榜，而中國企業則“全軍覆沒”，無一上榜。業內人士表示，由於《商業周刊》的排名是以品牌價值對公司營收貢獻進行排名，而中國移動等品牌作為相對壟斷的行業，在品牌價值的計算上可能並未被Interbrand所認可，導致最終未能入選。
另外報告還將谷歌、蘋果、亞馬遜網站、Zara國際和任天堂評為上升最快的全球品牌。由於推出了Google Mobile、Google Docs & Spreadsheets和Google Book Search等產品，谷歌成為上升最快的品牌，Interbrand認為其品牌價值已經上升至255億美元。IBM的品牌價值上升至590億美元，蘋果的品牌價值上升至137.2億美元，排名第58位的亞馬遜網站品牌價值增加至64.3億美元。
據國外媒體報導，市場研究公司comScore發布的數據顯示，八月份，谷歌在搜尋引擎市場上的領先優勢呈現出繼續擴大的趨勢。
八月，谷歌在美國搜尋引擎市場的份額達到63%，較之七月份的61.9%和去年八月份的 56.5%均出現一定幅度的增長。與此同時，排名第二和第三的雅虎和微軟的市場份額則呈現出下滑的態勢。雅虎八月的份額為19.6%，較之七月份的 20.5%和去年八月的23.3%都出現了下降。而微軟八月份的市場份額則降至8.3%，同樣低於七月份8.9%和去年八月份11.3%的市場份額。
這一數字最早出現在雷曼兄弟銀行的分析師道格拉斯-安穆斯(Douglas Anmuth)周三出具的一份報告中，而且也得到了comScore的證實。comScore原定於本周四晚些時候發布這一數字。安穆斯是希望通過這組數據來說明谷歌在搜尋引擎的統治地位仍未動搖，它仍是分析師的首選。
截至發稿，谷歌股價上漲1.77美元至416.26美元，漲幅為0.43%。
