人物履歷
1993－1996年就讀於南海海洋研究所海洋生物學碩士，
2005年獲中山大學理學博士學位；
1996年—2010年先後赴香港中文大學、澳大利亞昆士蘭熱帶博物館、澳大利亞詹姆斯庫克大學（JCU）進行合作研究；
2003~2010年任中國科學院南海海洋生物標本館館長；
2006年任廣州市海珠區十三屆政協委員。國家水生野生生物保護顧問委員、廣東省水生野生生物保護顧問專家，並於2009年起擔任中華人民共和國瀕危物種科學委員會委員；
2005年起擔任全球珊瑚礁監測網（GCRMN）東亞國家協調員之一；
2006年起擔任亞洲珊瑚礁學會（Asia Coral Reef Society）委員；
2009年起擔任IOC/WESTPAC-CorReCAP（“Coral Reefs under Climate and Anthropogenic Perturbations）小組成員等。
