劇情簡介
約翰是美國法警，在證人安全保護中心工作。負責將在重大案件中作證的人以另一個身份保護起來，在他處理好尊尼一事後，同事羅伯特告訴他去保護一個新證人——艾倫。艾倫在美國最大的武器製造公司西曆公司任職。聯邦調查局懷疑該公司從事非法黑市軍火買賣，他們利用艾倫盜取了公司的最高機密。約翰趕到艾倫家，正好遇上殺手使用新式武器要殺人滅口。約翰把她救出並安置好，並將真相告訴她。約翰在酒吧見到了羅伯特。羅伯特告訴他證人保護計畫有了泄露，要重新進行安置活動，並且要一起行動。一向單獨行動的規則使約翰產生了懷疑，但他還是同意。羅伯特製造騙局親手殺死了自己的證人，然後告訴約翰對方還要找艾倫。但約翰卻已起了疑心。他報了假地址。在飛機上，羅伯特發現約翰已秘密通知證人逃離，大為憤怒，約翰被迫跳機，憑藉機智和勇氣，終於幸免於難。艾倫識破了羅伯特派來的人，逃進了動物園。約翰不久也趕到。混戰中，約翰帶著艾倫逃走，而羅伯特卻對上司貝克說約翰受賄拒捕。約翰找到了尊尼，在他的幫助下混入了西曆公司，在電腦系統中終於查出了西曆公司在黑市出售新式武器的真相，並得知軍火交易的地點。約翰將真相告訴貝克並趕往交易碼頭制止羅伯特的陰謀得逞。在聽證會上，由於此事涉及到國防副部長等頭面人物，而物證又被毀，很難對他們判刑。約翰他們設計了圈套，置死地而後生地將罪魁禍首處以死刑。
