主要研究方向為光學、光學工程：飛秒雷射產生、測量、診斷，超快雷射光譜，半導體自旋電子學與自旋電子器件，超高速光通訊器件，磁光記錄動力學，高速磁光存儲器等。承擔《光電子技術》和《光學信息處理》課程教學。科研工作目前主要開展半導體中電子自旋弛豫動力學，磁光記錄中磁化翻轉動力學和高速光通訊、磁光存儲器件等方面的研究。
