袁原，中國數學家，籍貫安徽省舒城縣，現任西湖大學理學院理論科學研究院數學教授。2004年獲北京大學數學科學學院理學學士學位，2010年獲美國羅格斯新澤西州立大學數學博士學位。2010至2013年任美國約翰霍普金斯大學J.J. Sylvester助理教授，2013至2025年在美國錫拉丘茲大學歷任助理教授、副教授、教授，2025年5月全職加入西湖大學。
袁原主要從事多複變函數論研究，涉及全純映射的剛性、Bergman和Szegő投影、∂¯-方程及凱勒流形上的幾何流等問題，相關成果發表於《Mathematische Annalen》《Journal of Functional Analysis》等期刊。在美任教期間開設十餘門本科及研究生課程，最大課堂規模達百餘人。2024年7月12日到訪西湖大學理論科學研究院進行學術交流，2025年計畫開設多複變函數課程並考慮吸納高年級本科生。研究方向始於北京大學求學階段，師從黃孝軍教授期間系統學習多複變函數理論。
