蘇格蘭石系列源自蘇格蘭海岩石，在5500萬年前，由於岩漿數百米落差地下湧出，海平面岩石的巨大變化，數千年間發生高達100米的變化，蘇格蘭岩石的形成是地幔的變化，是當地的海平面引起巨大變化的結果。
