以甲殼綱枝角類動物水溞作為研究對象，運用比較基因組學、群體遺傳學等方法，研究溞類的環境適應性演化和入侵機制，主要研究內容及興趣包括：
A) 水溞對低氧、高鹽、強紫外等極端環境的適應機制
B）原型性染色體在水溞中的形成和演化
C）水溞專性孤雌生殖的形成機制以及對其入侵的影響
D）水溞的表型可塑性
E）水溞與其體內微生物的互作
F）水溞休眠卵的產生和復甦機制
