肯尼思·安格，美國先鋒派電影創作家，生於加利福尼亞州聖莫尼加。幼年時代曾在好萊塢的《仲夏夜之夢》(1935)等片有過演出。當他還是一個九歲的孩子的時候，拍過一部《誰支援我的理想目標》，長大後成為反傳統的美國地下電影運動主將。他的影片主題常常引起爭議，處理上氣氛玄秘，甚至不可思議。他的第一部公開放映的影片是1946年的《逃亡事件》。1950年去法國和義大利拍片，1954年回洛杉磯製作了《儀式》後，又於1958、1966年重行製成另外兩種拷貝，他的大部分影片往往在攝製中途放棄。

他著有《好萊塢巴比倫》一書，此書對這座電影城有所暴露。《惡魔兄弟的祈禱》(1969)在1969年曾獲得美國《電影文化》雜誌頒發的第十屆"獨立電影"大獎。
