細塔塔鼠是產於烏海市海勃灣區千里山鎮的早漸新世（E₃）晚期的化石。

特徵描述

close to tataromys minor in size; sphenopalatine foramen located above p4; cheek teeth higher crowned, with compressed, indistinct main cusps, higher and slender lophs, anterior cingulum joining protoloph; p4 with complete protoloph and metaloph; m1-3 having well-developed protoloph, strongly curved metaloph linked to posteroloph, obtuse v-shaped protocone with a rather longitudinal posterior arm, shallow anterosinus and posterosinus, wide l-shaped mesosinus, shallow oblique sinus, and no anterocone.
