人物經歷
1988年獲首屆中國青年科技獎，94年獲加拿大Sherbrooke大學博士學位。99年任UCLA和C.R. Drew醫學院助理教授，實驗室主任。03年任美國希望城人類遺傳學和臨床分子診斷實驗室訪問科學家。2007年兼任美國希望城國家醫學中心人類遺傳學和臨床分子診斷實驗室客座教授。2007年至今任蘇州大學教授。
研究方向
主要從事基因診斷和基因治療的研究。
主要貢獻
研發了基於高保真酶的突變檢測技術，提出了可治癒HIV感染的基因治療新方案，描述了人類基因突變的規律性現象。已發表英文論文70餘篇，其中SCI收錄52篇;出版基因檢測技術英文專著一部。
