2000年11月回國，先後獲得並參加973計畫項目2項（1項為課題組組長）、主持國家自然科學基金4項,參加國家自然科學基金7項，主持天津市科技發展計畫科技攻關項目4項。目前，培養博士生15人（畢業10人)，碩士生27人（畢業19人）。目前，已獲得國家發明專利2項。回國後在國內外學術刊物上共發表論文70餘篇，其中SCI論文50餘篇(影響因子累計大於180）,影響因子大於10的1篇，大於9的2篇，大於5的8篇。
